[新頭殼newtalk] 昨天桃園、新竹地區突發性強降雨，部分產區農作陸續傳出災損，今（18）日農委會主委陳吉仲也到災情最嚴重的新竹縣新豐鄉勘災，並經改良場判斷後，確定達救助標準，當場宣布新豐、湖口、竹北3地列為農業天然災害現金救助地區，農民可在週一公所上班時立即申報。
陳吉仲今天到災情最嚴重的新竹縣新豐鄉勘災，許多種植洋香瓜、西瓜的田，遭到豪雨淹沒，陳吉仲表示，種洋香瓜的許大哥告訴他，今年四分多地的洋香瓜照顧得非常好，品質很不錯，原本再一個禮拜就能採收，可是昨天的強降雨，讓他血本無歸。
對此，陳吉仲表示，經過改良場專業判斷後，當場宣布3地列為農業天然災害現金救助地區，而除了天然災害現金救助，也有許多產業輔導措施，例如有機質肥料補助、小型農機具補助等，農民也可以多加利用。
