總統蔡英文明（29）日將前往新竹湖口視導漢光演習聯合反機降作戰對抗操演，不過今（28）日卻傳出湖口542旅一輛中型戰術輪車撞倒廢棄崗哨，造成15人受傷。
陸軍第六軍團指揮部28日下午表示，542旅裝騎連駕駛中型戰術輪車行經湖口二營區廢棄崗哨時，撞擊營區圍牆造成車頭半毀，造成車上15人輕重傷，部分傷者有氣胸與骨折，但是全都沒有生命危險，肇因正由軍方專案小組調查中。
第六軍團強調，演習首重「人安、物安」，肇生本案將澈底檢討，並援引為例，要求所屬單位加強風險管控，以防類案再生。
