屏東縣現任區域立委分別是第一選區蘇震清、第二選區鍾佳濱、第三選區莊瑞雄。尤其第二選區是民進黨首度攻下的立委席次，總統蔡英文多次南下輔選，完成綠軍在屏東的最後一塊拼圖。
中選會強調席次調整僅是建議案，仍需立法院同意。若下屆屏東縣區域立委確定少1席，綠營內部的角力將提前啟動，即將登場的立委選區調整也充滿變數。
有民眾認為，屏東已經很邊陲了，如果立委再少1席，日後的發展恐更遲滯。
也有人認為，總統、國會議長都是屏東人，也不見屏東有更多建設，少1席立委差別不大。
