聯電今召開法說會並公布第1季財報，第1季合併營收374.97億元，季增2.4%、年增0.2%；毛利率由上季的17.2%下滑到12.4%，營業淨利7.69億元、季減59.5%，業外獲利10.88億元，加上所得稅收益11.73億元，挹注歸屬母公司淨利達34億元，每股盈餘為0.28元。
聯電總經理王石表示，第1季雖有新台幣升值的不利因素，但該公司晶圓專工營收仍較上季成長2.5%，8吋及成熟12吋穩定的需求，帶動整體的產能利用率達到94%，出貨量達到175萬片約當8吋晶圓，智慧型手機與無線通訊產品需求趨緩，電腦周邊與消費性市場的強力需求，激勵晶圓專工營收仍小幅的成長。
