〔記者洪美秀／新竹報導〕國道3號南下107公里處，昨晚11點多發生5台車的追撞連環車禍，新竹市消防局接獲警方轉報，派遣4車12人趕往，現場狀況為前後車輛疑未注意車況而發生追撞，造成9人輕傷送醫，其中有1車肇逃，警方已在釐清車禍發生情況，並追查肇逃車輛。
新竹市消防局表示，昨晚11點10分接獲警方通報，指在國道3號南下發生追撞車禍，據了解，疑因有車輛拋錨遭後車追撞，共5輛車撞在一起，其中1輛車肇逃。
救護人員趕抵現場途中，起初得知傷者僅2人，抵達現場後才發現有9人，但傷勢不嚴重，已由救護車將9人分別送醫，傷者情況都意識清醒。
此起車禍肇事原因已由警方製作筆錄調查中，而此處交通也受到影響，幸已近深深，約塞車近30分鐘後恢復正常車流。
