〔記者陳燦坤／雲林報導〕口湖鄉蘆葦花朵盛開，到處一片雪白與泛棕色交織成一片錦簇景象，是最適合觀賞季節，穿梭在鄉間小道，更能夠感受到天然無暇的風情，居民建議造訪遊客可到雲嘉南風管處借單車享受悠閒。
秋冬之際是口湖鄉蘆葦花開季節，全台各處都以天然花季為觀光焦點，但不少遊客還不知道口湖鄉的蘆葦花海不僅壯觀，同時也可以看到候鳥從草叢間冒出的驚艷景象，這幾年不少地方團體將產業結合這片花海營造觀光元素，試著以蘆葦為材料製作乾燥花。
林姓養殖業者表示，這片花海的形成與地層下陷有關，不少田地因不適合耕種而廢除，任由雜草生長，沒想到耐鹽份的蘆葦竟能夠在嚴苛的環境中成長，營造出這般奇景，只能說是上天安排，關了一扇門，又開了一扇窗。
