台塑企業鑑於城鄉差距造成雲林沿海鄉鎮教育資源不足問題，4日與虎尾科技大學、麥寮高中合作，在麥寮高中舉辦「戀戀台17科學宅急便暨麥寮高中課程博覽會」，共有1200餘名國中生參與，體會生活中科學的重要性及趣味性。
「戀戀台17科學宅急便暨麥寮高中課程博覽會」4日在麥寮鄉麥寮高中登場，共有雲林縣麥寮、台西、東勢、褒忠、崙背、四湖、飛沙、彰化縣大城等8所國中參與，1200餘名學子透過30個闖關項目，建立科學觀念並培養解決問題的能力。
為求實施環境教育中科學普及的正確概念，落實科普教育向下扎根，此次活動涵蓋知識性與操作性學習，包括台塑六輕園區環保設施靜電除塵與水質淨化2個科學體驗關卡。
靜電除塵方面，學生透過實驗了解高壓的放電可使粉塵微粒帶電被捕集達到靜化空氣的效果；水質淨化方面，安排學生過濾DIY，透過膠體溶液羽化作用將溶液中的小顆粒凝結後，再由濾紙過濾出澄清水溶液。學生們表示，此次科學園遊會非常生活化，讓他們知道藉由科學技術，可以進行水質與空氣的淨化，讓生活環境更美好。
