昨天下午四點五十五分許，雲林縣斗六、西螺、麥寮、斗南等多個鄉鎮部分地區突然出現停電，造成斗六、斗南、西螺等地區共發生七起電梯受困事件，幸在消防人員協助下九人均平安脫困，消防人員表示，目前電力供應不穩，儘量不要搭乘電梯。
台電雲林區處表示，雲林縣自昨天晚間六點依收費單上編組，開始分區輪流停電五十分至一小時，第一輪受影響約有四萬四千多戶，第二輪停電自七點開始，受影響約七萬多戶，至於何時恢復正常供電，台電表示將視總處電力調度情況而定。
