虎尾高中參加指考考生共127位，錄取國立大學達53位，其中黃翎軒錄取台大政治學系國際關係組，勇奪榜首寶座，學校說，她的成績足以考上台大法律系，但興趣在於政治學，如今如願考取，學校也予祝福。
陳振賢的母親是越南籍新住民，父母親在斗南經營麵攤小吃，他國中會考成績2A3B考進虎尾高中，成績一直平平，大學的學測成績考63級分，他又參加指考，沒想到一舉考進台大政治學系政治理論組，頗令老師甚感驚喜，學校秘書吳學偉說，陳振賢平日回家都還當店小二，幫父母端盤洗碗，是懂事乖巧的孩子，成績只是中等，沒想到異軍突起，考進台大，可說是虎高黑馬，讓人刮目相看。
