鄭姓駕駛酒測值為0，並非酒駕肇事。車禍地點緊鄰國小旁，經斗六警方協助，近1個小時後交通恢復順暢；車禍原因、責任歸屬，警方還在釐清中。
附近居民聽到巨大撞擊聲後，都出門查看，發現車子已經四輪朝天，有民眾PO文上臉書「斗六人文社交圈」，呼籲載小朋友上課的家長改道；也有網友回應，該路段常有車停在路邊，常常變成單行道，經過真的要放慢速度。
