因應警察節將至，為體恤員警平時工作辛勞，霧峰警分局霧峰派出所警友站特別針對員警勤務需要，集資廿八日捐贈霧峰派出所高係數反光背心，另有鑑於今年警察同仁更換深色制服，為提高夜間執勤安全，更添設爆閃型肩燈、勤務帶及LED探照型頭燈，以提高員警在服勤時的安全性及舒適度，讓員警直呼「揪甘心」。
外勤員警不論白天晚上24小時輪值服勤，常常需要在車來車往的路中處理交通事故、疏導交通，因此反光及照明設備對員警執勤安全甚為重要，此次捐贈配有高係數反光條的反光背心，高係數反光條經過燈光的照射讓員警於黑暗中更為明顯，可提升夜晚執勤之安全，而多口袋的設計可以放置許多應勤裝備，減輕腰部的負擔，另肩上型的爆閃燈，可讓員警在天色昏暗的時段服勤時，提醒用路人注意值勤員警的位置。
