全台獨有的端午慶典，台中南屯木屐節，定6月7號，在萬和宮前廣場及南屯老街盛大展開，今年首度舉行陸上行舟趣味競賽，邀民眾體驗，穿木屐走龍舟的樂趣，現場還有3000份免費麻芛湯、魚丸湯及粽子，邀民眾南屯共度端午。
台中市政府民政局長吳世瑋表示，躦鯪鯉，穿木屐踩街慶端午，深具在地特色，希望每位參與民眾都能滿載而歸。南屯區公所指出，每年端午，南屯一帶農民，都會象徵性穿起木屐，製造聲響，吵醒沈睡的鯪鯉，也就是穿山甲，希望靈獸幫助農民農耕，庇護來年豐收，這就是南屯穿木屐躦鯪鯉習俗由來；活動結合請神儀式、陸上行舟競賽、踩街活動、文化創意表演、變裝踩街、文化探索、文創表演及美食探索，打造台中獨有的端午慶典。歡迎民眾台中南屯共度端午。
