〔記者歐素美／台中報導〕大貨車裝載紅磚行經東勢區台8線路段，疑似綑綁不當，造成紅磚沿路掉落，東勢分局茅埔派出所獲報，員警冒雨清除路面紅磚，以維護用路人安全。
警方調查，趙男（38歲）駕駛大貨車，於本月2日中午左右行經東勢區台8線路段，疑似因綑綁不當，造成後方裝載的紅磚沿路掉落地面，後方車輛紛紛驚險閃避，並向警方報案。
茅埔派出所獲報後迅速趕赴現場指揮交通，並將路面的紅磚撿到路旁，以防用路人不小心發生意外。警方後續並調閱監視器，迅速找到貨車駕駛，依道路交通安全管理處罰條例告發。
警方表示，趙男供稱當天載運紅磚到和平區，可能因綑綁纜繩摩擦磚角斷裂，才導致轉彎時磚塊從後面滾落，因當時下大雨，並不知道紅磚掉落情事。
東勢分局呼籲民眾載運貨物，應確實綑綁，避免貨物掉落路面造成交通危害，否則依道路交通安全管理處罰條例，可處3000元以上、9000元以下罰鍰。
