〔記者劉濱銓／南投報導〕賞金針花海不需翻山越嶺到東部！南投縣魚池鄉日月潭周邊的頭社盆地面積達四公頃的金黃色金針花海，目前已滿開，花期可到月底，尤其金針花在遠方翠綠山巒陪襯下，更顯耀眼奪目，成為頭社秋天最美的田園風景。
農友說，中秋節是金針花綻放的最佳時節，相較東部的金針花約在九月下旬結束，頭社可以開到月底，甚至到十月初，中部地區民眾不用跑遠，就能到日月潭周邊的頭社賞花。
最近適逢盛開期，每到假日都會有許多遊客前來賞花，漫步在花海田埂間與金針花合照，成為當地最受歡迎的拍照地點，甚至有老外也慕名而來，融入在地穿梭花田間，成為來台旅遊的特別回憶。
