據《中時電子報》報導，衛生局6日接獲衛福部南投醫院通報，有數名民眾在復興路某鵝肉攤購買鵝肉食用後，發生腸胃道不適就醫診治，衛生局隨即進行調查，發現南投醫院、南基醫院共有28人身體不適就醫。
衛生局除採集醫院患者糞便檢體，並採集攤商工作人員手部及砧板、刀具等檢體送驗，均檢測出有金黃色葡萄球菌（腸毒素A型），研判為食物中毒事件，因此依法將業者依法移送法辦。
