〔記者謝介裕／南投報導〕竹山夜半當街槍響！今日凌晨1時許，29歲楊姓茶農獨自駕車從鯉南路過溪路段往竹山市區方向行駛途中，突然遭不明人士攔阻，隨後遭人近距離「行刑式」開了2槍，楊某脖子及胸部中彈當場氣絕，由於案發地點距離過溪派出所僅200多公尺，令警方高度正視，目前已組專案小組深入偵辦中。
這是南投縣竹山鎮繼7月發生槍擊案，造成兩人受傷事件後，再爆出槍擊案。
