〔記者張議晨／宜蘭報導〕宜蘭市第二行政中心原名「龍鄉樓」，外界質疑紀念日本殖民者，市公所最近更名為「平安順興樓」，但平安順興來源為何？宜蘭市長江聰淵今天揭曉，原來是從清代宜蘭舊城的4座城門名，各取1字組合而成，流傳自今已逾206年。
宜蘭舊城起建於清嘉慶17年（1812年），早期舊城區為圓形土城，東西南北各建4座城門，並依方位取名為東「震平門」、西「兌安門」、南「離順門」、北「坎興門」。
市長江聰淵說，平安順興4字取自4座城門的中間字，早期民眾進城時，還會以「要去平安順興城」作為通關密語，這4字如同流傳逾206年。
雖然城門不復見，護城河也加蓋成道路，但通關密語仍留存至今；江聰淵說，因語意吉祥，加上公所推廣，宜蘭公部門賀詞、過年春聯等，常可見平安順興4字為主題，成宜蘭市民獨有、且朗朗上口的專屬問候語。
