宜蘭三星梨農黃順徠，怕寒流造成災情擴大，趕緊在果園生火，為珍貴上將梨花苞保暖禦寒。（記者張議晨攝）
〔記者張議晨／宜蘭報導〕宜蘭縣三星鄉上將梨正逢梨樹嫁接、開花期，但嫁接時間，花苞易受寒流影響受凍，梨農黃順徠發揮巧思，在梨園內焚燒粗糠，提高梨園溫度。他說，粗糠火坑周圍溫度約可提高1至3度，希望能減少寒害影響。
三星鄉上將梨種植面積約42公頃，每年元旦前後，梨農陸續嫁接花苞；但高接梨對溫度敏感，氣溫降至10度以下，梨樹出於保護作用，會保留部分養分，枝頭上剛嫁接好的花苞，便會因為缺乏養分而死亡，每次寒流都會傳出災損消息。
種植面積約0.4公頃的梨農黃順徠，今年首度嘗試在果園內焚燒粗糠，透過悶燒產生的熱度及煙霧，提高果園內溫度，實際走進果園，溫度也比果園外暖和。
他說，一包粗糠約可悶燒4至5小時，火坑周圍溫度最高可提高3度，若配合防風網，多少能發揮保暖作用。不過，因目前不是稻穀收割期，粗糠數量少，今年先做測試，預計明年再將火坑遍及全園，希望能在寒流來時，減少寒害損失。
