為慶祝宜蘭線蘇澳至礁溪段通車100周年，4日台鐵局規畫慶祝活動，而最受人矚目就是CT273蒸汽火車重出江湖，附掛復興號車廂的蒸汽火車從蘇澳行駛到礁溪站，沿線受到鐵道迷的關注，用手機、相機拍攝難得的一刻。
台鐵表示，宜蘭線鐵路在1917年動工興建，1919年南端的蘇澳至礁溪段以及北端的八堵到瑞芳段通車，今年正是蘇澳與礁溪段通車100周年。
慶祝活動的重頭戲就是有「機關車女王」之稱的CT273蒸汽火車，附掛復興號車廂載客，沿線停靠蘇澳、冬山、羅東、二結、宜蘭、礁溪等6站，車票開放訂購後在短短5分鐘內秒殺，昨蒸汽火車再現蘭陽平原，不少鐵道迷在武荖坑橋、冬山河生態綠舟、蘭陽溪等處等候拍攝。
