［記者王秀亭／台東報導］南迴公路南興段只要遇上大浪，就會有海浪打上路面，今天受強颱山竹外圍環流波及，巨浪不僅打上路面，還將南迴公路（台九線440.95公里處）的欄杆沖毀，公路總局大武工務段立即派人於現場清理石頭與樹枝。
大武警分局表示，欄杆被沖毀，石頭跟樹枝被沖北上車道，由於南迴地區風雨仍然強勁，警方在現場實施交管，北上車道會視路面清理狀況適時封閉，南下車道仍然暢通。
同樣受到大浪影響，南迴地區太麻里鄉三和海邊海浪衝破擋水閘門，大浪沖進港區，觀浪民眾拍下驚險畫面。
