台東縣政府網路票選台東10大伴手禮，池上米乖乖擊敗「前輩」關山米乖乖，擠進前10強。同時，10大伴手禮中，米製品占了一半，再次證明台東是米的故鄉。
台東熱氣球嘉年華29日登場，縣府推出台東旅行攻略必買懶人包，並舉行10大伴手禮選拔。經過票選，由楊記地瓜酥拿下第一，其次是歐巴螞寒單餅、青澤琪瑪酥、池上米、池上米乖乖、陳記麻糬、池上米餅、封仔餅、陳家麻糬以及連城記地瓜酥。
由於關山是米乖乖的創始地，卻在這次輸給池上米乖乖，縣府交觀處表示，池上米乖乖的網路聲量超過關山米乖乖因而出線。
