東河鄉農會秘書李采霞指出，東河鄉文旦種植面積約50公頃，為了鼓勵農友提升文旦品質，因此今年重新舉辦文旦柚評鑑，除有獎金鼓勵，也能增加農友收益。
農友們把精心照顧的文旦送至農會，經專家評審果實大小、果皮粗細、肉質、風味、種子數等，分數最重的是糖度，盧柏松，參賽者的果品8成以上糖度都有11、12度，再加上越種越專業，沒有混雜其他柑橘類，因此文旦柚種子也變小，水分多、果肉又細緻，今年東河文旦品質很優。
