據了解，當時蘇男駕駛自小客車時，因行跡可疑，被執勤的員警攔下盤查，卻赫然發現蘇男身上竟背著4條通緝罪，且案件遍及全國北、中、東部，其中包括公共危險和詐欺罪，在去年分別被花蓮地檢署、新北地檢署及台中地檢署發布通緝。員警為將蘇男移送歸案，押解蘇男先是北上花蓮、新北市，最後再南下台中、返回大武，一路完成另類的「環島之旅」。
