受強颱「山竹」外圍環流影響，台東海岸湧起10米高巨浪，15日晨台東大武尚武漁港，有1艘停在港內漁船沉沒，由於所有船隻街入港避颱無空間施救，心疼船主眼睜睜看著漁船沉沒，欲哭無淚。

海巡人員表示，受到山竹颱風影響，船隻都暫停作業回到港內躲避颱風，15日晨港巡人員發現阿甘號漁船逐漸下沉，經仔細查看疑似遭隔鄰漁船木樁撞擊到船底，並聯繫船長。
由於颱風期間，所有船隻都回港避颱，阿甘號船隻停靠在港內最深處，被隔壁船隻的木樁敲擊，導致船破損，進水沉沒，港內停滿船隻並無空間救起逐漸下沈漁船，船主看著自己賴以維生的漁船沈沒，也無計可施。
