由陳姓駕駛（32歲）載滿啤酒及飲料的曳引車5日4時許由南向北行駛，行經台9線412.5K（金崙段）疑因貨物捆綁不穩，致所載啤酒約20箱及飲料均灑落於路面占用一個車道，大武警分局及大武工務段保全人員緊急馳赴現場清理碎玻璃及箱子。
由於該車車斗佔用北上車道，僅能單線雙向通行，現場由警方及保全人員協助指揮交通，預計於5日14時許能夠排除障礙恢復雙線通行。
大武警察分局組長蔡清良表示，南迴公路尚有許多路段是二車道且尚有多處施工路段，呼籲駕駛朋友行經彎道應減速慢行，另載運貨物應捆綁穩妥，若因捆綁不穩顯有危險時，依道路交通管理處罰條例第30條最高可處新台幣9000元，請大貨車駕駛朋友，載運貨物在出發前應確實檢查貨物是否捆綁穩妥，以維行車安全。
