大貨車撞進民宅門口，車頭和後方貨櫃連接處也斷裂變形，所幸當時沒有波及其它無辜民眾，不然後果不堪設想，這一起車禍就發生在台東縣池上鄉的台九線上，上午7時許這一輛聯結車經過時，突然跨越雙黃線、逆向衝到民宅，當時還波及一輛停在門口的小貨車，現場發出巨響，附近鄰居紛紛出來查看，而後續救護人員到場，駕駛聯結車的周姓男子不停喊痛。

經過送醫檢查後，發現他因為巨大的撞擊力道造成肋骨斷裂，他初步向警方供稱是為了閃車才會失控撞進民宅，但警方在他身上測出酒精反應，酒測值0.07雖然沒有超標，但因為發生車禍事故，還是被依照公共危險罪送辦，至於詳細的車禍原因仍待後續調查釐清。
