陳玉珍立委辦公室表示，官澳碼頭位處金門東北角，若以此對接石井碼頭，可大幅縮短金門泉州小三通的海上航程，另外此地離大嶝翔安機場近，讓金門更容易接軌國際。該港區規劃可紓解水頭碼頭當前之負荷，藉人流促進東半島發展，平衡金門長期發展失衡之情形也達到鄉親之期盼，陳玉珍立委希望交通部長此次現勘後能促成，也有賴各單位多多協助。
交通部長林佳龍聽取金門縣政府的簡報和地方民意後表示，國內商港發展計畫五年為一期，本期計畫目前在進行中，當時未將翔安機場等影響納入，將會再做檢討。此案會納入下期，但 目前即可啟動。部長的回應代表此案可以進入更實質的規劃設計，陳玉珍立委表示會善盡立法委員的角色，與金門縣政府和相關部會一同促成官澳多功能碼頭的建設開發。
