去年7月在花蓮卓溪鄉南安瀑布與媽媽走失的小黑熊，體型瘦弱，經過林務局、台灣黑熊保育協會介入安置，在農委會特生中心照養了9個月後，已發育到40多公斤，歷經野放訓練及陷阱趨避訓練，卓溪鄉的族人還為牠取了布農族語女孩名字「BUNI」，意為健康、美麗。
BUNI昨由獸醫及研究人員、屏東科技大學教授黃美秀等照看下，一早搭上空勤總隊黑鷹直升機，飛往卓溪鄉山區的台灣黑熊棲地野放。林務局呼籲，在山上遇到台灣黑熊，千萬別打擾牠。
