〔記者吳昇儒／基隆報導〕花蓮地區昨日深夜發生規模6.0強烈地震，並接續發生數起餘震，基隆市消防局長陳龍輝立刻集結特搜隊員，漏夜整備各式救災裝備器材，於凌晨2時30分許整裝集結完畢，今日上午9時30分派出第一批16名特搜人員及救災車輛6輛、各式救災裝備器材，由副大隊長王君維率領，加入救援行列。
消防局長陳龍輝表示，此次共攜帶雷達生命深測器、光纖影音探測器、空拍機、AIRSHORE支撐工具、油壓破壞組、削岩機及空氣墊型頂舉袋等，馳赴現場加入搶救行列。第二批人員也於10時30分出發支援。
