〔記者王錦義／花蓮報導〕花蓮昨天高溫一度飆出全台最高的三十八．五度，許多民眾紛紛前往溪邊戲水！秀林鄉水源村砂婆噹溪的北溪發生溺水意外，四十歲章姓男子跳水後疑似失去意識，附近遊客將人救起並CPR，救護人員到場送醫後仍急救無效宣告不治。
秀林鄉陶樸閣美學才藝發展協會昨天在水源村北溪舉行暑期假日產業市集活動，吸引許多村民前往參加，由於天氣炎熱，不少人跑到北溪中泡水消暑。
根據報案人士向警方說，看到章姓男子從攔沙壩上跳水下去，結果很久都沒有起來，很多民眾趕快過去救援，但是拉上來後就沒有呼吸心跳，他們持續CPR直到救護人員到場。
花蓮縣消防局指出，接獲秀林鄉水源村砂婆噹溪的北溪有人溺水，隨即派遣自強分隊救護車出勤趕往現場救護。救護人員到達時溺水患者已被現場民眾救起，並有民眾在對患者實施CPR，救護人員立即評估患者生命徵象，確定無脈搏且無呼吸，隨即對患者實施CPR並使用AED監控送醫急救。
