根據《聯合報》報導，醫事司司長石崇良指出，截至上午9點統計，花蓮震災送醫的緊急傷病患總計218人，其中2人送至花蓮慈濟醫院前死亡，其中，門諾醫院收治57名傷患、部立花蓮醫院收治38名、花蓮慈濟醫院收治109名、鳳林榮民總醫院收治1名、玉里榮民總醫院收治2名、國軍花蓮醫院收治11名，其中20人留院觀察，183人已出院。
