台九線257.2公里處南下車道30日下午14時50分，一輛自用大貨車載運鋼條，疑因貨物綑綁不穩妥不慎鋼條掉落車道，導致北上2部自小客車車頭毀損，其中自小客車吳姓駕駛左腳疼痛送鳳林榮民醫院治療，這起交通事故並造成南北向車道受阻。鳳林分局迅速派出警力交管，指揮南北向車流依序行駛，交通未受太大影響。
據警方調查，30日下午光復地區天氣晴朗，由劉姓司機（50歲）駕駛自用大貨車載運鋼條，行經台九線257.2公里南下車道時，疑因貨物綑綁不穩妥不慎鋼條掉落南北向車道，導致北上車道2部自小客車毀損，所幸大貨車劉姓駕駛及自小客車潘姓駕駛未受傷，僅吳姓駕駛輕傷送醫，3人均無酒駕情形。
鳳林分局四組組長林宏德表示，台九線257公里至259.3公里道路施工中，行經該路段時，須注意減速慢行並注意交通安全。特別是大型車輛載運貨物需綑綁牢固，避免發生意外事故（圖／花蓮縣警局提供）。
