被鐵路局修復後，今年六月贈送給花蓮鳳林鎮林榮社區、編號「DR三○五一」的自強號柴聯客車廂，是目前台鐵現役中的自強號車廂「DR3000型柴聯車」，原廠是日本日立公司，目前使用於台鐵南迴線、台東線、縱貫線、北迴線，最大特色是車廂內有特別的拱門造型，拱門上有金屬裝飾版，將內部散熱及排煙管蓋住，從一九九○年交車迄今已近卅年。
台鐵捐給林榮社區公園的這部DR三○五一，是二○一三年八月卅一日，因為豪雨撞上土石流，導致列車乘客受傷、車輛毀損，事故後報廢，DR三○五一由台鐵花蓮機廠修復，座椅全新更換。
