17日下午4時左右花蓮石梯坪岸際有2名釣客落海，經岸巡總隊及漁船先後救起，其中一名釣客意識清楚，另一名則無生命跡象，均送往豐濱醫院急救中。
東部地區巡防局第一二海岸巡防總隊，17日下午4時左右接獲通報，在石梯坪突出部有２名釣客落海，新社安檢所及第一機動巡邏站立即出動扺達現場先救起一名，意識清楚，送往豐濱醫院。
隨後在海上的『長安號』漁船救起另１名釣客，無生命跡象，同樣送往豐濱醫院急救
２名釣客皆為男性，身分基本資料正調查了解中。
