〔記者李容萍／龍潭報導〕市府客家事務局昨在市定古蹟龍潭聖蹟亭舉辦「桃園送聖蹟」祭典，由市長鄭文燦與民眾一起重現昔日客家敬字惜紙、重視知識教育的送聖蹟古禮。
鄭文燦表示，全國一百多座聖蹟亭中，桃園有六個，除了龍潭聖蹟亭，還有中壢新街聖蹟亭、蘆竹五福宮聖蹟亭、龜山大湖聖蹟亭、大溪齋明寺聖蹟亭、大溪蓮座山聖蹟亭。
其中以龍潭聖蹟亭的面積最大、保存最完整，早期客家人有收集字紙至聖蹟亭集中焚化，再以三獻古禮恭請河神將字紙灰燼送入大海的習俗，稱為「送聖蹟」。
昨天的祭典，鄭文燦引領身著藍衫的學童挑字紙簍進場，一同送聖蹟；現場另有拓碑、客家師傅話、迴文詩、成語接龍等文字互動遊戲等體驗，讓大家更加認識客家敬字文化及漢字的奧妙。
