Lamigo桃猿郭嚴文9日趁著因雨延賽，跑到新莊球場觀看富邦悍將賽後伍佰演唱會，11日就在新莊球場對富邦轟出3分全壘打，生涯第60轟，他笑著說：「註死（台語！巧合之意）的啦！」
郭嚴文11日只有1支安打，就是8局上從富邦悍將左投賴鴻誠手中打出的中外野3分全壘打，把2比0領先拉開到5比0，穩定贏球優勢。
這支全壘打是郭嚴文本季第9轟，也是生涯第60轟，而且是棒打左投，對於左打郭嚴文十分罕見，他說：「我真的不知道是怎麼打出去的，球來就出棒。」
郭嚴文最近連3場比賽有安打，也愈來愈有信心，7月12日歸隊之後，未曾有過連續2場無安打，他的前一支全壘打是8月15日。
而單季9轟是他單季第2多全壘打，2012年有過單季15轟，2015年是單季9轟。
