新北市萬里區野柳漁港今9日下午5時許，傳出火燒船事件，30噸級全億財2號漁船突然冒出熊熊大火，冒出大量濃煙，火勢一發不可收拾，並有明顯火光，消防隊及岸巡人員全力滅火搶救，因引擎室冒煙後起火，整艘漁船瞬間起火，場面十分驚險，幸虧船上7人全數獲救，真正起火原因，將待進一步調查。
翁姓船長說，當時他在駕駛艙內，船上有部分漁工在補冰塊，另外其他漁工到安檢所報關，預計準備出港釣白帶魚，他突然看到船尾冒出火花，趕緊拿起滅火器往船尾方向想滅火，但已經來不及了，火勢已經迅速竄燒起來，也不知道引擎室為何會起火。
岸巡人員表示，下午4時47分當漁工正在安檢所辦理報關出海作業時，安檢所人員突然看到「全億財」號船尾著火，弟兄們隨即開啟碼頭上消防栓協助滅火，並通報119及警方協助，所幸船員皆無生命危險，目前已經撲滅火勢，起火原因仍有待調查。
