多位民眾食用南投市復興路鵝肉攤商販售的鵝肉後，發生上吐下瀉腸胃不適症狀，經南投縣衛生局採集通報個案、攤商工作人員糞便檢體、攤商環境檢體及消費者食餘檢體送驗結果進行綜合研判，確認為食品中毒，已依法移請南投地檢署偵辦。
衛生局在6月6號接獲衛福部南投醫院通報，多位民眾曾在南投市鵝肉攤購買鵝肉產品食用，發生腸胃道不適症狀前往就醫，隨即進行患者攝食及臨床症狀調查，衛生局並針對攤商工作人員採取人體、相關食品及環境等檢體進行檢驗；總計南投醫院通報26人，南基醫院經衛生局確認有2人，合計有28人身體不適就醫。
送驗檢體中除了3名就醫患者糞便中檢出金黃色葡萄球菌(腸毒素A型)，製造販售場所砧板、刀具、工作人員手部塗抹及消費者食餘檢體也檢驗出同樣的病菌，經綜合研判結果為食品中毒事件，病因物質為金黃色葡萄球菌。
