清明連假首日，蘇花改及蘇花公路南下車流爆大量，創下單日兩萬四千輛次紀錄，昨天北返車流增多，蘇花改每小時單向交通量約八百五十輛次，逼近設計容量上限，公路總局第四區養護工程處交控中心啟動路口號誌管控，並請警方協助指揮疏導。
根據統計，蘇花改及蘇花公路東澳往蘇澳方向車輛，即北上車流量，昨天超過一萬輛次，顯示北返車流已提前在連假第三天湧現，蘇花改平均時速維持五十到五十五公里。
四工處交控中心主任陳國正說，蘇花公路北上車輛，若在宜蘭東澳轉進蘇花改，請在速限範圍內提高車速，今天上路前先注意路況，避開壅塞時段。
