〔記者鄭名翔/苗栗報導〕​苗栗縣南庄鄉的客家酸菜遠近馳名,尤其入秋後更是供不應求,但因今年天氣過熱,酸菜產量減少,南庄鄉農會於上月底才剛上市的第一批,幾乎被秒殺搶購一空,農會近期開始封裝第二批酸菜,仍然供不應求,目前市場價格一度喊到一台斤六十至七十元,而農會考量長期經營,仍維持每台斤五十元銷售,希望培養長期客源。

南庄鄉農會總幹事陳乾安表示,今年酸菜原料芥菜受氣溫影響,導致產量較往年少約三至四成,且因為天氣過熱,菜農須較往年提早約十天左右採收,芥菜重量也因此減輕,市售價格已喊到一台斤約六、七十元;因農會生產客家酸菜,主要是輔導農民利用二期稻作休耕或閒置農地再利用,藉此增加農民收益,價格較不受市場波動影響。

天氣逐漸轉涼後,市場反應更熱烈,日前農會第二批封裝的酸菜也已銷售一空;陳乾安說,近日採收的芥菜也陸續到貨,因芥菜收成後須曝曬、施鹽醃漬約一週時間才能製成酸菜,農會加工廠即日起也開始加緊包裝第三批酸菜,會確保數量及品質無虞,到過年前應都可以正常供貨。

陳小姐特別從台北趕來搶貨,她說,客家酸菜別具風味,加入火鍋湯頭會越吃越甜,因此一試之後就成主顧,每年入秋之後都會來搶購。今年雖遇到產量減少,但農會仍維持每台斤五十元價格,她覺得很棒。
