李柏毅認為，站在產業與環保等角度，電動車是未來發展趨勢，他並舉特斯拉在台灣的相關產業鏈為例，建議市府在大力推動橋頭科學園區同時，也要評估引進具有未來性、且符合高雄條件的產業。
為了解市府立場與方向，他先指名副市長史哲答詢，開頭先問史哲是否坐過特斯拉或Gogoro，史哲第一時間回答自己的能力只能坐Gogoro（兩者價格落差大），一旁包括副市長許立明、都發局長李怡德等許多官員，對史哲的妙答都忍不住笑場。
