高雄市前鎮漁港內一間冷凍廠2日中午11點都傳出工安事故，疑似因為廠內壓縮機過熱爆炸導致氨氣外洩，並且傳出火勢，消防人員到場後，發現有5名工人遭到嗆傷，緊急送往小港及阮綜合醫院，10名外勞逃到4樓頂樓，評估暫時沒有生命危險，隨後由雲梯車協助脫困，而洩漏點目前已經止漏，詳細的事發原因還要釐清。
高雄市消防局表示，中午11點59分接獲通報，指稱冷凍工廠傳出氨氣外洩，在地下室找到4女1男的工人有嗆傷情形，已經送往小港及阮綜合醫院急救，意識都清楚並沒有生命危險，另外有10名外勞躲到頂樓通風處等待救援，評估沒有立即危險後，已經由雲梯車協助脫困，並疏散附近人員，測得氣體濃度達200ppm，已經在一樓發現洩漏點並已經止漏。
警消初步調查，疑似是因為壓縮機過熱爆炸，才會導致氨氣外洩，並有火勢傳出，目前仍在進行灌救和救援工作，因此詳細的事故原因，還需要進一步釐清。
