台南火車站值班副站長許朝焜表示，上午台鐵統計受此車禍事故影響，台鐵共有28列次誤點，影響7180名旅客，該站北上列車並未延誤；延誤的列車都是南下區間車為主，到雙線恢復通車後仍有南下區間車誤點7、80分鐘，可能要到中午12點半之後才會逐漸恢復正常行駛。今上午，台南火車站一、二月台都湧現大批候車旅客。
