〔記者林國賢／雲林報導〕雲林縣府改善156縣道交通環境，爭取前瞻計畫補助1億6800萬，縣府自籌3200萬，改善路面及整理環境，未來崙背到麥寮交通環境更優質舒適。
雲林縣長張麗善表示，這項工程除道路路面改善外，規劃設置公車候車亭、電桿地下化、綠地整理及增設約100盞路燈，提升156線道路品質、行車安全，並串聯周邊觀光景點，提升北雲林東西交通動脈品質。
156縣道是雲林縣東西向交通動脈，連接西螺、二崙、崙背與麥寮等溪北地區鄉鎮，是六輕上、下班主要交通幹線，這項道路改善工程可望帶動雲林縣交通網絡品質提升，給民眾安全回家道路。
