〔記者吳正庭／金門報導〕金門縣辛姓養雞戶昨天巡查雞舍時，發現6隻母雞不翼而飛，後來驚見1條身體如成人大腿般粗的緬甸蟒藏身在置物間，消防局派出3名大漢將這條「偷雞客」活逮，緬甸蟒因緊張而產生緊迫，把雞屍吐在一旁；消防人員丈量，緬甸蟒身長383公分，寫下金門從2010年進行蟒蛇相關研究以來，最大個體的新紀錄。
縣府建設處農林科長鐘立偉說，5日也在金城鎮發現1條緬甸蟒，牠的個性溫馴，也很怕熱，夏天通常在溫度較低的夜間出沒。
