國道一號北上233公里處於今（30）日凌晨5點多發生6車連撞的車禍，造成1死6傷，其中一名陳姓性駕駛被困在車內動彈不得，被警消人員救出時，早已沒了生命跡象。
警消獲報後第一時間趕到現場，發現內側車道有一輛翻覆的藍色小貨車，陳姓駕駛就被困在其中，救出時已沒呼吸心跳，其餘6位傷者分別被送往雲林基督教醫院、台大斗六分院、天主教若瑟醫院。
警方初步研判，從死者車上的行車紀錄器看起來並沒有異狀，疑似是後方賓士車因為疲勞駕駛突然撞上，才會發生悲劇。據《聯合新聞網》報導，吳姓賓士駕駛事後也向警方坦承，從台南北上很累，原本要去西螺服務區休息，沒想到只剩下3公里的距離就出事了。
目前，警方已經著手調查，至於確切的車禍原因還有待進一步釐清。
