〔記者鄭名翔／苗栗報導〕苗栗縣頭份市水源路地下自來水原水管線，前天突然爆管，導致路面嚴重毀損，猶如強震襲擊後的災難場景。台灣自來水公司表示，該管線使用逾33年，老舊不堪車輛震動輾壓才發生爆管，已漏夜搶修完成主體工程，苗北地區供水不受影響，目前暫闢一便道供人車通行，今天完成道路修復。
頭份市長羅雪珠指出，所幸災情未造成人員傷亡、停水，將損害降至最低，感謝施工人員徹夜趕工及頭份消防分隊協助清理路面，也呼籲鄉親經過時格外小心。
