氣象局表示，今天太平洋高壓勢力仍偏強，各地大致為多雲到晴的穩定天氣，但中午過後在西半部山區及東半部地區會有局部雷陣雨，請稍加留意。
氣象局指出，白天氣溫偏高，各地高溫約33至36度，尤其在大台北地區、嘉義地區、南部近山區及花東縱谷有36度以上高溫的機率，此外，台東地區由於焚風的影響，可能出現38度左右的高溫，請特別留意，中午前後紫外線指數易達到過量或危險級，外出請注意防曬，並多補充水分以避免中暑。
根據氣象局觀測，台東大武測站中午12時57分達到37.3度；台北下午1時54分達到36.7度；花蓮富源中午12時20分達到36.7度。
氣象局預報員顏增璽說，台北的36.7度已經創下今年以來的最高溫，板橋中午測到35.7度也是今年以來的新高。
顏增璽表示，預計下午溫度應該不會再往上飆，目前看起來下午應該也不太會有下雨的情況。
