警方今天凌晨3時40分，巡邏途經台65線板橋段下方的板城路，發現一名駕駛將轎車停放中間車道，警方上前勸導男子停好車，員警順便問了一句，「怎麼沒把車停好？」，駕駛回答，「載我朋友去機場，下快速道路後在路邊打字滑手機」，吳男與警對談時，雙手發抖且持續遮掩帶的隨身包，引起警方注意。
警員要吳男打開隨身包，一打開就露出安非他命吸食器，被眼尖警員看見，喝令他下車受檢，果然再查出一包安非他命；吳嫌沒有前科，辯稱是友人拿給他提神的，警方將吳嫌依違反毒品條例送辦，擴大追查犯行。
