〔記者周敏鴻／桃園報導〕桃園市政府警察局刑事警察大隊執行「全國同步查緝賭博專案行動」，查獲古姓男子涉嫌經營運動賭博網站，扣得31台電腦、18台印表機、4台傳真機，警方估計，古男經營的運動賭博網站，賭資的進出金額已超過億元。
古男經營的運動賭博網站，各種球賽都可以賭，包括籃球、足球，甚至冰球等，警方監控多日後收網，查獲古男到案，也起出電腦、印表機、傳真機等設備。
警方調查，古男經營的運動賭博網站，進出的賭資金額超過億元，將擴大追查幕後操縱的集團與金主，以預防明年總統大選期間，選舉賭盤透過運動賭博網站來操作，而影響到社會治安與選情。
